Pati Dubroff talks about Dakota's style at the ELLE Women in Hollywood Event with AOL.

From AOL: Oh, that Dakota Johnson. The actress simply slayed at Monday's Elle Women in Hollywood event, wearing second-skin Calvin Klein. Her dates: mom Melanie Griffith, grandma Tippi Hedren and half-sister Stella Banderas.

We connected with Johnson's longtime makeup guru Pati Prema Dubroff to get the scoop on her red-carpet razzle-dazzle.

"First of all, there is this sweetness about her and it's in equal balance with this fierceness. She's a combination of sweet and powerful. She's grown up in this industry. Look at her lineage. She's extremely professional and extremely aware of how lucky she is. She doesn't take any of that for granted. She couldn't be more kind and beautiful. Last night, seeing her with her grandmother and mother and sister, that bond is enviable," says Dubroff. "Last night her family was around so that was extra fun."

Hair-wise, Mark Townsend gave her a textured updo. We love it.

As for her visage: "Anastasia Contour Cream Kit in Fair is what I use on her face and eyes. It's my favorite thing right now. I use it on her cheekbones and jaw. The cheeks were a tiny little splash of Nars Amour blush," says Dubroff.

The eyes: "I used Nars black moon eyeliner pencil at the base of the lash line. Mascara was Benefit's They're Real. I love it. Lots and lots of lash. What I used to define her brows is Maybelline Define-a-Brow pencil in medium brown," says Dubroff.

And she finishes off the look with a little drama. "We like to bump up her lip color. Last night, I used Chanel Rouge Allure Luminous Intense Lip Colour in No 109 Rouge Noir. In the tube, it looks like blackberry but I stained it on her lip," says Dubroff.

Look for her on more red carpets as awards season gears up. Johnson plays Johnny Depp's wife in "Black Mass," and has the comedy "How to Be Single" out in February.
